‘Til the Dover Boys Come Home’ . . . a free play at Dover Castle

This July, in partnership with Dover Youth Theatre, English Heritage are putting on a free play at Dover Castle, ‘Til the Dover Boys Come Home.

This is part of the Fortress Dover project, which aims to involve the local community in finding out more about the role of Dover, the castle and surrounding area in the First World War.    The play has been written, and will be performed, by students from Dover Youth Theatre. It’s partly based on archive research and newspaper reports from the time.

There will be three performances – two at the Castle, on Friday 22nd July and Saturday 23rd July  7.30pm – 9.30pm, and a shorter performance at Cruise Terminal 1 on Sunday 24th July at 2pm.

All performances are free but seats must be reserved for the Castle performances, by emailing FortressDover@english-heritage.org.uk or calling 01304 872 785.
