Alkham Parish Council has purchased and now owns a Scout 2 Speed Recorder . The cost of the Scout 2 was £ 1754.95 (ex VAT),

Many thanks go to the volunteers of the Alkham Speedwatch Team, hopefully this new equipment will make their task of slowing down traffic on the Alkham Valley Road a little easier. Previously they had to use borrowed equipment from Kent Police which was shared with other parishes. Now they will have access to equipment owned by the Parish Council.

Parish Councillors have been working extensively with KCC Highways to make the roads in our village safer. Supporting the Speedwatch Team and the now the purchase of the Scout 2 Speed Recorder forms part of that ongoing commitment.
